Now in its fifteen year the Cognac Film Festival will open Thursday, April 3 1997, in the picturesque French town of Cognac. The Festival includes entries from some of the most accomplished international thriller film directors. Known as the Festival du Film Policier de Cognac, the festival recognizes the best in mainstream suspense films and showcases the creativity of the new wave of directors who spearhead the evolution of the genre policier. Festival screenings are held in state-of-the-art theaters and other festival-related activities, including memorable Cognac tastings and notable gastronomy events, extend to the entire town of Cognac.
