Cognac Chateau Montifaud

Our vineyard, with an area of 58 ha (140 acres) is situated in the heart of the cognac région in the Fine Champagne, exclusively Grande and Petite Champagne. The Latine etymology of the word "Campanien", which is a type of chalk particular to the region of Charentes. This chalk is to be found on the smoothly sloping ridges in the north of the " Petite Champagne " and in the south of the " Grande Champagne " only. This " Campanien " is a prevailing factor for the quality of the cognac, and is the reason for the good name of the cognac produced in this region.
We are now able to offer a tricentenial experience, along with our unique stock-in-hand of very old cognac. Thus we have available, under cover of the half-light of our maturation warehouse, a collection of 8 bottles distilled in the year 1830 by Pierre Vallet.
