GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF OUR COGNACS

Chateau Montifaud sells exclusively its own wine harvest, while offering a full range of first grade Cognacs and Pineau des Charentes. Our products bear the "Fine Petite Champagne" and "Fine Grande Champagne" denomination as they come exclusively from these growths. Besides, the "Chateau" denomination is quite unusual among Cognacs (only 14 out of 300 brands). This privilege is reserved to ancient families from the region, as a warrant of quality and trustworthiness. Our Cognacs have a very floral, mellow , round and fruity taste. Not agressive, though with body and exceptionnally long on the nose as well as on the palate. No alcohol taste, and no bitterness usually caused by an excessive tannin.
